The client: Consilia Legal are multi-award winning family and employment law solicitors with offices across Yorkshire. Their talented legal teams have been recognised as ‘next generation lawyers’ and dynamic, creative, solutions focussed solicitors. They work incredibly hard to help a lot of people through a difficult time.
The brief: This legal brand was already in existence, so our brief was to provide Consilia Law with a brand re-fresh that was fit for a group of award-winning professionals.
Although the project was about providing Consilia Legal with an updated look and feel, understanding and maintaining the core brand values that lie at the heart of this company were really important.
The fresh identity uses strong black and white imagery, paired with a transparent brand colour rectangle. This is offset on a white background to create an overall look and feel that reflects the clear approach of how the Consilia Legal team operate.
Their photography style is positive and the images chosen represent human emotion and individual experiences; this reflects the caring approach of the solicitors to their clients.
We applied the new brand to a suite of professional marketing materials for the team including folders, letterheads, leaflets, business cards, pop-up banners and large format outdoor advertising.

I approached Burnett Design because I had seen examples of other professional services firms which used Burnett Design’s input to send out professional corporate literature. I wanted our brand to be reflected in the best possible way at one of the first points of contacts for many – email.
Burnett Design helped me by giving our brand fresh impetus and a brand new look but keeping it recognisable with the existing values of the firm.
The result was literature that we can be proud to send out knowing it looks professional and reflects the high standards we pride ourselves upon as a firm.
One thing I liked was their rebrand. It was an evolution not revolution of our brand. It simply accentuated the strengths of our brand and created us a better first impression with clients via email.
I found the experience very easy from start to finish. Once the initial ‘feel’ of our brand was agreed upon it was simply a case of fine tuning the wording and how the documents were to be sent out to clients.
